"La Llevada y la Traída" presents a sonorous reflection of faith and resilience embodied in the revered idol of the Virgen de Zapopan and its pilgrimage throughout the state of Jalisco. The soundtrack meticulously curates a diverse sonic palette inspired by the ambient sounds that envelop this sacred journey. To encapsulate the essence of this auditory spectrum, the composers collaborated closely with Director Ofelia Medina during the culminating leg of the pilgrimage, which attracted over 3,000,000 devoted followers.

This collaborative effort allowed the decomposition of sounds that authentically represent the pilgrimage, capturing the unique elements that constitute the soundtrack's rich palette. The experience bestowed the composers a heightened sensitivity towards the profound faith and resilience of the participants which tracks back to pre-hispanic roots.
